...As in the constant temperature in Iraq. Today is expected to top out at about a 102 degrees F (about 40 degrees C for the non-Americans) and the outlook for the next few days is all above 100. "Luckily" they get relief at night, when it drops to a crisp 79. Geesh! And it's still May!
Still no timeline news on mail. Getting mail is not very easy for the base, so they tend to make the mail runs only a couple of times per week. For my first mailings, we are at about 2 weeks for letters (and counting) and about 1 week for packages (and counting). As I mentioned a few days ago, when I do get confirmation of delivery, I will post the expected timelines for mail items.
Lastly, if anyone has questions for Laura that you want me to post here, send me a note or add a comment to this post and I will try and get it answered.
